Antique EAPG “Nappy” Dish Candle – Early American Pattern Glass
This antique Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) “nappy” dish features intricate pressed detailing, a scalloped rim, and a delicate side handle that gives it both elegance and charm. The faceted starbursts and geometric motifs catch the light beautifully, highlighting the craftsmanship that defined turn-of-the-century American glassmaking.
Early American Pattern Glass was produced primarily between the late 1800s and early 1900s, during a period when pressed glass became widely accessible to American households. Companies like the Imperial Glass Company, founded in 1901 in Bellaire, Ohio, were known for creating ornate yet affordable tableware that brought sparkle to everyday life. “Nappy” dishes — small handled bowls — were commonly used for serving berries, nuts, or desserts, and were often displayed proudly on dining tables and sideboards.
Originally intended for serving, this antique dish has been thoughtfully repurposed into a candle, honoring its history while giving it a warm and modern second life.
The vessel has been filled with 3.8 oz of all-natural soy wax and features two wicks for an even, luminous burn.

Approximately 5.5" wide (with handle) × 2" tall (with handle)
