This coordinating cream and sugar set is crafted from studio pottery and finished in a beautifully earthy, speckled glaze of warm brown, caramel, and golden tones. Each piece has its own distinctive form, with the lidded sugar bowl featuring a sculptural knob and the creamer finished with a softly shaped pouring spout. The rich, varied glaze gives the pair an organic, one-of-a-kind quality and reflects the handmade character of studio ceramics.

Studio pottery became especially prominent during the Arts and Crafts movement and experienced renewed popularity throughout the mid-20th century, as makers moved away from mass-produced ceramics in favor of individually crafted, functional pieces. By the 1960s and 1970s, earthy glazes, natural textures, and warm brown tones had become hallmarks of American studio pottery. Cream and sugar sets were everyday tableware, but handcrafted examples transformed these familiar household objects into small works of functional art.

Originally intended for serving cream and sugar, this coordinating set has been thoughtfully repurposed into a pair of candles, preserving the vessels' original relationship while giving them a warm and functional second life.

The sugar bowl has been filled with 9.13 oz of all-natural soy wax, while the creamer holds 9.8 oz. Both are scented in Banana Nut Bread, double wicked and are sold together as a pair.
