Celadon Floral Teacup & Saucer Candle

This handmade ceramic teacup and saucer features a soft celadon glaze with an embossed floral pattern that wraps gently around the cup and echoes across the saucer. The muted green tone and subtle relief work together to create a calm, tactile surface — elegant without feeling precious.

Celadon glazes have a long history dating back over a thousand years, originating in China during the Tang and Song dynasties. Valued for their jade-like appearance, celadon wares were prized for their quiet beauty and technical sophistication, often associated with refinement, balance, and harmony. Over time, the technique spread throughout East Asia and later influenced studio potters around the world, who embraced celadon for its depth, translucency, and timeless appeal.

Once part of a traditional tea setting, this cup and saucer have been thoughtfully repurposed into a hand-poured candle — blending ceramic tradition with modern ritual. The saucer adds both visual balance and practical function, catching wax drips and grounding the piece. After the candle has burned through, the set can be cleaned and reused as a teacup, catchall, or decorative object, continuing its life beyond flame.

Each set is sold individually and includes one cup and one matching saucer.
There are four available, each with subtle variations that reflect their handmade nature.

Dimensions:

  • Cup: Approximately 3.5" wide (with handle) by 2" tall
  • Saucer: Approximately 5" wide

Scent: Forest Chai

  • Top Notes: Orange Peel, Peppercorn, Cardamom
  • Middle Notes: Ginger, Anise, Nutmeg
  • Base Notes: Fir, Cinnamon, Honey

A warming, softly spiced fragrance inspired by forest air and slow-brewed tea — balancing citrus brightness with gentle spice and grounded woods.

Please note: As handmade ceramic pieces, subtle variations in glaze, pattern, or tone may be present — authentic details that reflect the artistry of the maker and add to each set’s unique character.
