This small ceramic cup features the timeless Blue Onion pattern — known in German as Zwiebelmuster — one of Europe’s most recognizable porcelain designs. Originating in the Meissen porcelain factory in Germany around 1739, the pattern was inspired not by onions, as its name suggests, but by stylized depictions of pomegranates, peaches, and bamboo, reimagined through a European lens of East Asian art. Its rich cobalt blue on white porcelain became a symbol of refinement, adorning tables and tea sets across Europe for centuries.

Now reimagined as a candle, this piece has been hand-poured with 5.6 oz of all-natural soy wax, preserving the beauty of its heritage while bringing new life and light to its delicate form.
