Avon 1876 Collection Goblet Candle

This vintage goblet is part of Avon’s 1876 Collection, introduced in the 1970s as a line inspired by early American pressed glass designs. During this era, Avon produced collectible glassware meant to echo the look and feel of 19th-century patterns, bringing historic motifs into mid-century and late-20th-century homes. Pieces from the 1876 Collection were often displayed rather than tucked away, valued for their bold color, texture, and nostalgic presence.

The deep ruby-red glass features a repeating geometric and medallion pattern, catching and refracting light in a way that feels both dramatic and intimate. Its goblet form and pedestal base give it a stately silhouette, reminiscent of ceremonial or parlor glass once used for special occasions and decorative display.

Now thoughtfully repurposed, this piece has been transformed into a candle and filled with 5 oz of natural soy wax. When lit, the flame glows through the richly colored glass, emphasizing its pattern and depth. Once the candle has finished burning, the goblet can enjoy a second life as a decorative accent, small catchall, or display piece — continuing its story beyond the flame.
