Liberty Works Pink Depression Glass Sugar & Creamer Candle Set

This vintage sugar and creamer set was produced by Liberty Works as part of their Deco-style pressed glass line inspired by Depression-era American tableware. Liberty Works was known for reviving classic glass patterns in the mid-to-late 20th century, drawing directly from designs that first emerged during the 1920s and 1930s, when colored pressed glass brought beauty and optimism into everyday homes.

Sugar and creamer sets like this were originally used at the table during daily meals and gatherings, designed to be both functional and decorative. The soft pink glass features flared octagonal forms and subtle geometric lines characteristic of Depression glass design, reflecting a time when even utilitarian objects were thoughtfully crafted and proudly displayed.

Now thoughtfully repurposed, both pieces have been transformed into candles and filled with 4 oz of natural soy wax each. When lit, the pale pink glass glows warmly, highlighting its delicate color and faceted shape. Once the candles have finished burning, the sugar bowl and creamer can enjoy a second life as decorative accents, small catchalls, or tabletop vessels — continuing their story beyond the flame.
