Vintage Faceted Glass Bowl Candle

This vintage low-profile glass bowl features a beautiful faceted design reminiscent of a quilted diamond pattern, with overlapping geometric cuts that catch and reflect the light around its scalloped edge. Its shallow, substantial form gives the piece an almost jewel-like quality, especially once the candle is lit.

Faceted and pressed-glass serving pieces like this became especially popular during the mid-20th century, when American glassmakers produced decorative tableware designed to bring the sparkle and appearance of cut crystal into everyday homes. Diamond, quilted, and geometric patterns were commonly used on relish dishes, candy bowls, and small serving pieces, allowing light to move through the glass and emphasize its sculptural form.

Originally intended as a decorative serving bowl, this piece has been given a second life as a candle while preserving the beautiful glasswork that made it special in the first place. Once the candle has finished burning, the vessel can be cleaned and enjoyed again as a small catchall, jewelry dish, or decorative bowl.

The vessel has been filled with 4.6 oz of all-natural soy wax and features three wicks, creating a warm glow that beautifully illuminates the faceted glass.
