Vintage Three-Legged Copper Cauldron Candle
This vintage copper cauldron features a beautifully rounded body, three petite legs, and a movable handle secured through loops at either side. Its warm copper surface has developed a naturally aged patina, with subtle marks and variations that reveal its history and give the piece its wonderfully timeworn character.
Small copper cauldrons and cooking vessels have a long history in European and American homes, where copper was valued for its durability and excellent ability to conduct heat. Three-legged vessels were traditionally designed to sit securely over or near an open hearth, with their raised bases allowing heat to circulate beneath the pot. Over time, smaller versions also became popular as decorative and household objects, retaining the distinctive rounded form, feet, and carrying handles of their utilitarian predecessors.
Originally created as a functional or decorative copper vessel, this charming cauldron has been thoughtfully repurposed into a candle, preserving its aged character while giving it a warm and functional second life.
The vessel has been filled with 16.6 oz of all-natural soy wax and features a triple wick for an even, gentle burn across its wide surface.
Dimensions:
Approximately 5" wide × 5" tall, including the side loops
Scent: Forest Chai
- Top Notes: Orange Peel, Peppercorn, Cardamom
- Middle Notes: Ginger, Anise, Nutmeg
- Base Notes: Fir, Cinnamon, Honey
Warm, spiced, and woodsy, Forest Chai opens with bright orange peel, peppercorn, and aromatic cardamom before unfolding into ginger, anise, and nutmeg. Notes of fir and cinnamon bring an earthy warmth to the base, softened by a touch of honey. The fragrance evokes a steaming cup of spiced chai enjoyed on a crisp autumn day, surrounded by the scent of evergreens and fallen leaves.
The rich, layered fragrance pairs beautifully with the aged copper vessel, creating a candle that feels especially at home during the cooler months.
Once the candle has finished burning, the vessel can be carefully cleaned and repurposed as a decorative object, small planter, catchall, or collected vintage piece.
Two available. Each vintage vessel has its own unique patina, markings, and signs of age, so subtle variations between the two pieces should be expected.
Please note: As a vintage copper piece, variations in patina, surface wear, tarnishing, discoloration, or minor age-related imperfections may be present. These authentic details speak to its history and unique character.
